Perlite Materials stands at the foundation of the entire Perlite Holding production chain. From the extraction and processing of natural volcanic perlite ore to the production of high-quality expanded perlite, we create a key material for the Group’s solutions across construction, thermal insulation, horticulture, filtration, and industry.
Our integrated production cycle encompasses extraction, crushing, and thermal expansion, enabling us to control material quality at every stage — from its natural origin to its final application.
One Material. Multiple Applications.
Expanded perlite is a versatile material used across a wide range of industries. In construction, it is used to create lightweight thermal and acoustic insulation materials; in horticulture, it improves aeration, drainage, and moisture regulation; in filtration, its porous and inert structure contributes to the effective clarification of liquids; while in industry, it is used for lightweight thermal insulation and applications involving high temperatures.
From a single natural volcanic mineral, we create solutions for buildings, growing systems, filtration processes, and industrial applications, making expanded perlite a fundamental part of Perlite Holding’s value chain.
Processing & Quality
Our production facilities operate at a precisely controlled temperature of 850–900 °C, ensuring consistent expanded perlite properties across a density range of 80–150 kg/m³.
Quality control is integrated throughout the entire production process. Every batch is tested against key parameters, including:
- Particle size distribution
- Moisture content
- Thermal conductivity
- Bulk density
Production Capacity
180,000+ tonnes of expanded perlite per year
Our production scale enables us to meet the requirements of Perlite Holding companies while also supplying expanded perlite to customers across a wide range of industries and international markets.
From mineral extraction to the finished product — we control every stage of the production chain.
